Drew became the first PhD student to graduate from the lab, successfully defending his thesis 'Systematic C-degron activity profiling implicates conditional regulation of the CTLH E3 ligase complex in ribosome maturation'. He was grilled on its contents for over three hours in a stiflingly warm seminar room following a heating malfunction!
